Ron and Shauna Dykman are the owners of Dykman Construction, Inc. The team at DCI has extensive experience in concrete and excavation. We perform work in commercial, industrial, and residential excavation and concrete, and we also have extensive experience in subdivision and real-estate development. Our team has a combined work experience of more than 150 years and DCI has been working in the Northwest for over twenty years.

DCI was primarily a concrete contractor located in Pocatello, Idaho. Primarily due to the fact that our excavation subcontractors were too busy, and partly because they were unable to perform our excavation tasks in a timely manner, in 2007, we found it necessary to begin performing our own excavation. Dykman Construction has found it beneficial for both the company itself, as well for our general contractors, to provide both excavation and concrete services.

Over the last eight years, DCI has branched out throughout the Northwest and Central United States. Our team maintains a relationship with the general contractors from the start to finish of each and every project.

Our Contractors

Ron Dykman

Ron has over 40 years of construction experience. Ron began his career working in the concrete construction industry while still in high school as a laborer, finisher, and form setter. After several years he went to Idaho State University and received a bachelor’s degree in biology. Shortly after completing his degree, Ron opened Dykman Construction under the original name of Ron Dykman Construction.

Ron works closely with the DCI lead men, superintendents, general contractors, architects, engineers, and owners in order to ensure performance, quality, and budgeting. He is responsible for the review of scheduling, contracts, bids, and invoicing. Ron manages sales, safety, budgeting, and provides oversight on projects for excavation, demolition, and concrete projects that are valued up to $1.2 million.

Ron earned his degree at Idaho State University, majoring in biology. He is a current member of the local Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Home Builders, as well as a facilitator for Leadership Pocatello.

Jason Raschke

Jason has over 26 years of construction experience, and spent the first 9 years as a framer and finish trim carpenter. He has been a superintendent with Dykman Construction for the past 8 years. Jason has extensive experience in commercial, industrial, and residential construction. He is also responsible for the implementation of Dykman Construction safety program and protocols.

Jason works with the DCI form setters, laborers, and occasionally finishers. He coordinates with superintendents of general contracting firms, engineers, and owners. Jason is responsible for the material and man power to DCI job sites, and ensures production and quality standards are met, as they are a primary goal to DCI customer satisfaction.  Jason is also responsible for Dykman Construction personnel and the public safety on the DCI jobsites and has job over-site experience for jobs valued at up to $1 million.

Ben Soto

Ben is primarily responsible for footing and foundation quality. He is also responsible for all Dykman Construction large flatwork concrete pours, and works with other DCI employees pouring and finishing concrete for our customers. The safety of the DCI crew and the public are one of Ben’s key responsibilities. Additionally, Ben is responsible for materials and manpower on his jobsites, and works with superintendents and general contractors to ensure job quality.
